Troubleshooting Tips
Keyboard doesn't connect
If the device doesn't connect and you don't hear the windows "ding" sound when you plug in the device, make sure you have fully inserted the USB cable into the device. New cables and USB ports can be tight and it's easy to not get them plugged in all the way. Double check you have fully inserted the cable into the port on the keyboard.
Keyboard connects but isn’t working
If the device connects and you hear the windows “ding” when you plug the device in, but isn’t working in your sim software, it may have lost its programming during shipping. While this is rare it has happened. First check to see if it really isn’t working by opening notepad and pressing a few buttons. You should see letters appearing as the buttons are pressed. If you do then it is working refer to the next tip below. If nothing happens then you should reprogram the board. This is very simple and only takes a few seconds. Go to the support tab on the website, select key programming and download the programming tool and instruction guide. If reprogramming doesn’t resolve the issue then contact us as the unit was probably damaged in shipping.
Keyboard stops working during play
If your keyboard stops working during play the most common reason for this is use of a second monitor or or the gs pro club view window.
Windows directs all keyboard input to the active window. If you use a second monitor and have clicked on a window being displayed on the second monitor, that window is now active and all Club Keyboard buttons will be directed toward that window and will no effect in the sim software. In this case you will need to click back on the sim software window, such as GS Pro, to set the sim software back to being the active window.
If you use the Club View feature in GS Pro you will need to use windows mode for GS Pro and arrange the windows so you can see both of them and still have GS Pro be the active window.
Mulligan button not working in GS Pro
In order for the mulligan button to work you have to enable mulligans in GS Pro. This is done in the round setup before you begin play. You can also enable them during play by returning to the setup menu. If you are playing a certain tournaments or operation 36 in GS Pro the mulligan button will be disabled.
Bluetooth version not appearing in the bluetooth device pairing list
In windows 11 you have to change your Bluetooth mode from basic to advanced for the device to be seen in windows 11. Instructions with screenshots showing where to find this setting are in the wireless setup guide that came with the device. You can also download this from the support tab.
My wireless keyboard only works at a short distance.
The range of the Club Keyboard wireless version is 30ft. If you are loosing signal at a short distance you likely didn't install the antennas that came with your PC. Check the back of your PC and see if you find one, or likely two, threaded connectors. If so those should have antennas connected to them, and are typically included with the PC.
My wireless unit (Version 1) won't reconnect after i power it down and turn it back on
With some PCs the Bluetooth module needs to be paired twice without powering down the Club Keyboard to fully store pairing data. This procedure is simple and only take a few seconds. Detailed instructions are in the setup guide, but simply pair the device, then select remove device, then pair it again without powering down the Club Keyboard. The Bluetooth pairing data will then be fully registered and will reconnect quickly when you turn it back on.
